On the bishops' Jubilee News page this week you will find new links to this weekend's "Jubilee within the Jubilee": the Congress of Catholic Lay People and the Jubilee of the Lay Apostolate. Six hundred Catholic lay leaders from all over the world are attending the week-long Congress with the theme of "Witnesses of Christ in the New Millennium." It is intended to be a forum for "dialogue, exchange, witness and common prayer, but also for comparing and evaluating different ecclesial experiences."
There are also new links to reports on last week's Jubilee of the Armed Forces and Police.

'Dunedin Priest Appointed Rector' Otago Daily Times Saturday, 25 November 2000 A former Dunedin Roman Catholic priest has been appointed rector of the church's national priest training centre in Auckland. Fr Colin Campbell, parish priest at Waikiwi in Invercargill, will take up his new position at Holy Cross Seminary in the new year. He is well known to Dunedin Catholics, having been parish priest at St Joseph's Cathedral from 1986 to 1992, and priest at St Peter Channel in Green Island from 1992 to 1995. Fr Campbell has been involved in Catholic education administration since the 1970s and is at present a member of the Religious Education Advisory Board for the Dunedin diocese. He said he had enjoyed parish life but was looking forward to moving into a new field.
