Archbishop Moxon to become Anglican ambassador to Rome
Archbishop David Moxon is heading to Rome as the Anglican Communion's chief representative to the Roman Catholic Church. This means he will step down in April as the Archbishop of the New Zealand dioceses, and thus as one of the three leaders of the Anglican Church in these islands. He will also resign as Bishop of Waikato.

Modern mass gains nod from church
The Southern Institute of Technology has produced its own small slice of heaven - a mass approved by the Catholic Church.

Monsignor David Bell has moved into his new home in Stratford as he takes up his new position as the priest of the Roman Catholic Central Taranaki parish.

District, police praised for help
The Argentine ambassador in New Zealand has commended the police and community response after a young woman died when her car crashed on her way to work near Arrowtown. Carolina Patron Costas, 23, died at the scene when her car left Malaghans Rd and slid into a tree on her way to work at Millbrook Resort last month.

The T G Macarthy Trust is celebrating its 100 year anniversary with a special one-off contribution of $40,000 to 40 toy libraries across the lower North Island, says Public Trust Chief Executive Graeme Hansen. The T G Macarthy Trust board is comprised of the Governor-General, a representative of the Prime Minister, the Mayor of Wellington and the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Wellington.

A Catholic brother convicted of child abuse has described how a senior clergyman lured him to molest boys. Rory Callinan and Rick Feneley investigate. Brother Bernard McGrath was a young trainee in the St John of God order when, as he recalls it, a superior brother approached him.
