Catholic priest says terrorists don't dictate interfaith relations
A Catholic priest told a gathering of about 300 people in Auckland for a service to remember the victims of the Easter Sunday bombings, that terrorists do not dictate interfaith relations.

Officiating at Mass at an Easter service in Broad Bay celebrating 120 years of historic Polish church Mary Queen of Peace Church is Dunedin Bishop the Most Rev Michael Dooley.

Some survivors of abuse in state care are calling for the Government to separate the strands of its Royal Commission of Inquiry into Historical Abuse.
The Inquiry was announced more than a year ago, but late last year the Government bowed to pressure and included victims of abuse in faith-based institutions. Since then, several Commissioners have faced conflict of interest allegations over their religious views, including Chair Sir Anand Satyanand, who is Catholic.
