A recent decision by Pope Francis to re-found the Pope John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family may have some pro-lifers nervous, but Italian Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia and Monsignor Pierangelo Sequeri say there's no need to be: This isn't the pope subtracting anything from the institute, they say, but doubling its importance.

The Aotearoa Catholic Youth Festival will take place in Auckland on the weekend of 2-3 December 2017. Hosted by the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference, the Festival organisers are expecting over 500 young people to attend.
