Report into former Dunedin bishop's conduct completed
A draft report has been completed following an investigation into whether a former Dunedin bishop failed to deal with complaints of abuse. In November last year, the Catholic Church appointed an independent investigator to look at whether Bishop John Kavanagh took proper action when he received complaints of sexual abuse during his tenure, between 1957 and 1985.

A business which is providing opportunities for young artists is the 2021 Taranaki regional winner for the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme. The Together Collective is run by Sacred Heart Girls' College student Abbie Wood, 16. She sells clothing with designs created by both herself, and aspiring young artists.
'It feels real now': Work starts on new school built inside former warehouse
You would be forgiven for thinking it was a site visit for a new industrial complex, but this will be Christchurch's newest school – built inside a giant warehouse. Marian College is being retrofitted inside the former Foodstuff distribution centre – one of the largest commercial buildings in the South Island – and after more than two years of planning, work is finally underway.
'Woolly Wedge' wins day
A group of Dunedin school pupils is on a mission to save the New Zealand wool industry ''one doorstop at a time''.
Under the Door Enterprises, from Kavanagh College, created a firm producing and selling woollen doorstops called ''Woolly Wedge''.
