Whanganui Parish Priest Fr Craig Butler will represent Catholic priests of Aotearoa New Zealand at a gathering of 300 priests from around the world at the Vatican this month as part of the countdown to October's second session of the Synod on Synodality ...

** Delargey Awards 2024: The NZ Catholic Bishops Conference is seeking nominations for the 2024 Delargey Awards, which recognise significant and outstanding contributions made in the field of Catholic ministry with young people in Aotearoa New Zealand.

** This Sunday --  Good Shepherd Sunday -- is the Day of Prayer for Vocations, with next week National Vocations Awareness Week.

** Sunday 21 April is Good Shepherd Sunday, a day when we pray for our seminarians and for priestly vocations.  Bishop Steve is inviting those who are able to make a donation towards the formation costs of our seven Auckland seminarians.

** The World Day of Prayer for Vocations falls on the Fourth Sunday in Easter time: Good Shepherd Sunday, this coming Sunday, 21 April.

** Caritas is holding an emergency appeal to help its work with the victims of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake in the Wewak diocese of Papua New Guinea on March 24.
