THE WORLD YOUTH DAY AND JUBILEE OF YOUNG PEOPLE (15-19 August) ...

... is about to get into full swing. I plan to update the Jubilee News page -http://www.catholic.org/newzealand/cathcom/jubilee/news.html every day on which is something fresh to report, for the duration of the Youth Jubilee. But because of the uploading problem, the page I updated this weekend is still sitting here on my computer "all dressed up and nowhere to go". The best I can do for now is to offer you this link to the most recent summary report on the Jubilee from the ZENIT News Agency: http://zenit.org/english/archive/0008/ZE000811.html and to remind you that the Jubilee News page has an abundance of other News links through which you can follow this great event.

More than a million young pilgrims are expected to take part, and the experience will surely affect the course of their lives in many cases. It's entirely possible, for instance, that one of those present, know only to God, will be elected Pope in the second half of this century. May God bless our young pilgrims from the four corners of the earth. Please keep them in your daily prayers this coming week, and ask for them to be included in the Prayers of the Faithful at Mass.

The bishops' NEWS page ...
