A nationwide call has been issued for "new, quality, singable" music for
New Zealand Catholic liturgies in the new millennium. A collection
called Millennium Music has been instigated by a sub-committee of the

for abuse in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks in America,
prompting local leaders of the faith currently meeting in Auckland to
use their gathering as an opportunity to call for social and religious
tolerance, and to affirm their commitment to New Zealand...
