tone on gay people. "Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer to
the Christian community", the church's bishops said during a
conference about the family.

A small cookbook may have a big impact on a Meadowbank youth group.
The collection of recipes, organised by Our Lady of Fatima parish,
Meadowbank, is to raise money for about 15 teenagers to attend the
2016 World Youth Day in Poland.

Much loved teaching twins left mark on Te Kuiti community
Waikato Times Weekend (no direct link available)
This is the story of two maiden ladies, non-identical twins, both
teachers for 40 years, both loved by their junior school pupils and
their community – their lives astonishingly parallel. Both died at Te
Kuiti Hospital, Patricia Fahey (aged 84) on Friday, June 28, 2013,
Katherine Fahey (aged 85) on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Both are
deeply mourned. They are buried in the same Te Kuiti Cemetery plot.
