** Two years on, Caritas Aotearoa NZ has so far raised more than $600,000 to help with the recovery from the  Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha'apai volcano and tsunami in Tonga, but more needs doing.

** Happy news. Archbishop Novatus Rugambwa, our Apostolic Nuncio, continues to improve following the stroke he suffered on 29 October

** Pope Francis has inaugurated a Year of Prayer ahead of the 2025 Jubilee, calling on the faithful "to intensify prayer to prepare us to live well this event of grace and to experience the power of God's hope."
