The Catholic church is making moves to disinter clergymen buried at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Christchurch, which is up for a huge rebuild.

Two local musicians, both internationally acclaimed in their own right, are performing in concert together to celebrate the opening of Our Lady of Kapiti Catholic Church on Presentation Way, Paraparaumu.

The Gisborne branch of the Catholic Women's League Aotearoa New Zealand celebrated its 70th birthday with a special lunch at the St Mary's Church parish hall.

Quick action saves Eltham church from 'suspicious' fire
Quick action by bystanders and nearby fire crews limited damage from a fire that broke out at a South Taranaki church on Thursday morning. The fire in a back porch of St Josephs Catholic Church, on Stanners St, Eltham, is being treated as suspicious.

A Palmerston North school's ball has combined glitz and glamour with raising money for charity. The St Peter's College annual charity ball, organised by students, is this weekend.

A St. John's College boy who was part of a team that developed an innovative ventilator , has earned a spot at this year's Entrepreneurs in Action Weekend. Year 12 student Dylan Wijaya says his passion for social enterprise has been ignited.

St Peter's College goes red to support Cure Kids
Palmerston North school St Peter's College has welcomed special guests to help it mark a day dedicated to charity. St Peter's held its annual Red Nose Day on Thursday, a fundraiser for the Cure Kids charity, with children dressing in red garb and sporting plastic red noses.
