Thousands of members of Auckland's Catholic migrant communities gathered at the ASB Stadium on Sunday, 18 June to honour the Jubilee themes of Reconciliation and Unity. In a colourful ceremony beginning with a powhiri and followed by Mass, the migrant communities offered 'He Tautoko' (a Pledge of Support) to the Ngati Whatua and all Maori. The text of the Pledge follows the report of the event on the News page.

There is interest about it in the secular news media so you will probably hear or read about on TV or radio first. Then, in the next day or two you can read the full text of the message and the commentary via the Catholic news service links on the News page.
