Catholic Matchmaker website: a safe place for Catholics to meet Catholics
(22 October 2008)
Catholic Matchmaker New Zealand made a ground-breaking announcement to the
media in August 2007. They became the first Catholic matchmaker site to
receive official support from the Catholic Church. Archbishop John Dew of
Wellington, followed by the other Catholic Bishops in New Zealand, gave
permission to promote Catholic Matchmaker in their dioceses. Some Australian
bishops have also given permission to promote this service...

$18m in capital funding for Sancta Maria College

Education Minister Chris Carter announced today at the opening of the brand
new St Anne teaching block at Sancta Maria College, that the Government has
agreed to contribute $18.888 million in capital funding toward the cost of
the building. Sancta Maria School is a year 7 to 13 Catholic state
integrated school in Flat Bush, Manukau.
