Bishop says Catholic church should consider naming abusers
A Catholic bishop says the Church could consider releasing the names of clergy who abuse children, even if they don't go through the courts. Bishop Paul Martin has released a file on predator priest Cornelius O'Brien to one of his victims, a Christchurch man now in his 50s.

Business-faith study offered
Sound business management skills and spiritual thought are not ideas that necessarily go together automatically. However, the University of Otago's department of religion and theology and its business school are joining forces to fill a gap in the market, creating two new postgraduate qualifications in faith-based leadership and management.

The first new Catholic high school to be built in Auckland in 30 years is to be officially opened this weekend. Demand for places at the new school in East Auckland showed no sign of slowing in the week leading up to its official opening by the Prime Minister on Sunday.
