** The General Secretariat of the Synod has published the Instrumentum laboris (Working Document) which will be the basis for the work of the participants in the General Assembly of the Synod on Synodality, which begins in the Vatican in October 2023

Pope Francis has appointed Father John Adams from the Diocese of Christchurch as the new Catholic bishop of Palmerston North.

Fundraising pays of in fun for Waitara's St Joseph's students
Students at St Joseph's school in Waitara have at last been able to get the fun from their fundraising efforts for their new playground. The new playground, which officially opened on Monday, was required after rotting wooden foundations on the school's 25-year-old playground saw its immediate removal.
