NEWS OF THE GREAT JUBILEE http://www.catholic.org/newzealand/cathcom/jubilee/news.html

On the bishops' Jubilee News page this week you will find new links to this weekend's "Jubilee within the Jubilee": the Congress of Catholic Lay People and the Jubilee of the Lay Apostolate. Six hundred Catholic lay leaders from all over the world are attending the week-long Congress with the theme of "Witnesses of Christ in the New Millennium." It is intended to be a forum for "dialogue, exchange, witness and common prayer, but also for comparing and evaluating different ecclesial experiences."

There are also new links to reports on last week's Jubilee of the Armed Forces and Police.

Everyone thinks you have more free time (or "no life") so you must be available for parish committees, charitable works, cleaning the church, playing the organ and doing the flowers, but you are seldom, if ever, mentioned as a group or vocation, in sermons or the Prayers of the Faithful ...
